This morning, join a walking tour of Palermo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015. Discover its striking cathedral, where elements of Gothic, Baroque and Norman architecture show the influence of the region’s cultures. See Piazza Pretoria with its fountain, a marble masterpiece of the Renaissance. Stop for lunch and try the cuoppo, a paper cone filled with delicious fried morsels and the famous arancina ball.

This afternoon, visit the Teatro Massimo, the largest opera theatre in Italy. Wander through the evocative halls of the theatre, designed by the famous architect Basile.
