Itinerary

Arrive at Athens Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Your first glimpse of Athens reveals a city steeped in history, from the grandeur of the Parthenon to the influences of Romans, Byzantines, and Venetians. In the evening, savour a special welcome dinner with breathtaking views of the illuminated Acropolis – a truly unforgettable start to your Greek odyssey.

Begin your exploration with a guided city tour, visiting in the historic Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Pass by significant landmarks including the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Hellenic Parliament, and Syntagma Square before ascending the legendary Acropolis. Wander among the awe-inspiring ruins of the Golden Age of Athens. Enjoy lunch at a local tavern before continuing to the state-of-the-art Acropolis Museum.

Leaving Athens behind, travel along the coastal road to the Corinth Canal pausing for photos before continuing to the ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, renowned for its remarkable acoustics. Head to the picturesque seaside town of Nafplion where there will be time for lunch (own expense) before exploring the archaeological site of Mycenae including the Tomb of Agamemnon.

In the afternoon, journey across the Peloponnese through Tripolis and Megalopolis to Olympia – the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Arrive in Olympia for an overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.
