Continue to Reggio Calabria, gateway to Sicily, and cross the strait to Taormina, where dramatic coastal views and Mount Etna await. ITINERARY: ROME – SORRENTO – REGGIO CALABRIA – TAORMINA        

Mandatory city taxes of EUR6 in Rome, EUR3 in Sorrento, EUR2.50 in Reggio Calabria and EUR3.50 in Taormina per person per night to be paid directly to the hotel by you. Itinerary

On arrival in Rome be transferred from the airport to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Rome. Spend two nights in Rome. 

Join a small group tour and discover the incredible history of the Roman Forum and Colosseum. The remainder of the day is free. In the evening, consider exploring the Trastevere district which is full of typical restaurants. 

Today, travel to Naples. On arrival, travel to Pompeii where you will enjoy a visit of the site. Later transfer to Sorrento, for a two night stay.

Today, join a tour to Capri, see the famous Blue Grotto (weather permitting) and discover the beauty of this wonderful island. In the afternoon, return to Sorrento by ferry.

Return to Naples to connect with a high-speed train to Reggio Calabria. Sit back and admire the beautiful landscapes of Southern Italy, as you approach the tip of the Italian boot. Stay overnight in Reggio Calabria.

This morning say goodbye to beautiful Calabria and take a ferry to the port of Messina. On arrival transfer to Taormina where the remainder of your day is free. Spend two nights in Taormina.

Enjoy Taormina at your own pace. Why not relax at stunning Isola Bella beach is reachable by cable car from the city. For the more adventurous, consider a half-day trip to Mount Etna.

Your tour ends after breakfast.
